Chelsea want to get a deal to sign Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund done 'very quickly' and may not have to pay his full release clause.

It had initially been reported that Gittens' release clause sits at roughly €67m. Bild state that the figure is much higher than €60m — but that Dortmund may still be happy to sell for around that amount after the winger's average performances in the second half of the 2024-25 season.
Bild add that Gittens is very keen on the move back to the club where he spent time as a child. He has informed Dortmund of his decision and looks set to leave the club he has scored 17 goals for in 106 appearances.
Gittens looks set to play in the Club World Cup whether a deal gets done before the initial transfer window closure on 10 June or not. Dortmund get their campaign under way against Fluminense on Tuesday 17 June, while Chelsea kick off against Leon the day before.
